I would call this a scam and not recommend anyone stay here. This is not a hostel. It is a room in a large family's apartment and costs as much as a nearby actual hotel room. The host never gave me a key, she had "quiet hours" during which I couldn't shower because two people slept on the living room floor, and 6 of us shared a bathroom (in a 3-bedroom apartment). She made me pay 30 yuan to take a black cab of her choice (when legal taxis were available) to a police station to register myself. After one night I booked an actual hotel room in person, moved out.
Nothing, do not stay here, worst hotel ever, the owners were disrespectful.
The owners are political, I am Taiwanese and they told me I should not say I am from Taiwan, they told me in my face I should say I came from China Taiwan. This is ridiculous, I paid for the room and I did not pay for a political lesson and a scolding. The bed sheets were wet, they told me, it is okay, just let it dry a few hours. I could not turn on the air conditioning, the owner scolded me for wasting electricity. I PAID for the room, hello ??????
